I'm Denise Joy Hart, interior design stylist, artist and creator of the Furaha Method of Joyful Design". BTW, Furaha means joyful in Swahili!
My commitment is to help homeowners create beautifully curated spaces filled with things they love. One of my gifts is using my "custom on a budget" principles to help folks get the look they want but with the budget they have. Your home deserves to be a destination you don't want to leave, and when you do, you just can't wait to get back to it!
I'm inspired by art, architecture, music and play. I really enjoy mixing time periods and marrying them harmoniously by using pattern, color and texture. Currently I'm obsessed with grass cloth wallpaper! But don't worry, my first commitment is to serve the client. So if you're not into wallpaper, no worries. I'm here to support you with making your design dreams come true.

I've nurtured and matured my love of staging and redesigning spaces for over 20 years, starting with my first business, "Strictly Kids Decorating". After 21 years as a tenured college theatre professor, I'm returning to my first love. I'm pretty laid back and I love to help people change their vibe about a space and go from saying "Oh well..." to "Oh WOW!"
